H.R.H. Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad bin Talal of Jordan serves as personal envoy and special advisor to His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Educated in the United States and in Europe, His Royal Highness is fluent in Arabic, English and French. Prince Ghazi operates in a considerable capacity for the Jordanian government as well as serving as Director of the Royal Aal Al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Amman and as a coordinator of the international Common Word initiative. Prince Ghazi is the chief architect of the Common Word letter addressed to the Christian world following Pope Benedict’s incendiary Regensburg address and the subsequent cooperative efforts to engender Muslim-Christian understanding on a global scale.
