Amir Hussain is Professor of Theological Studies at Loyola Marymount University, the Jesuit university of Los Angeles. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, where his mentor was Wilfred Cantwell Smith. Amir teaches courses on world religions and Islam, and has written widely about Muslim communities in North America.
